2023 Projection - Luis Garcia

The big question mark

It’s difficult to think of someone more affected by the new rules than Garcia with his now former funky delivery in the wind-up.

What that means for 2023 is anyone’s guess so I won’t take it personally if you think I’m too high or too low on my projections.

Garcia’s first spring outing was encouraging. Two shutout innings, 1 hit, 4 strikeouts and 95.9 MPH on the 4 seamer.

In projecting Garcia’s 2023 I would simply say this: Don’t expect him to be something he hasn’t shown to be and consider it a success if you get 6 innings + 5 starts a year.
