Another 4 mile day, though I suspect tomorrow (or Wednesday) will be shorter to give my aching dogs a (slight) rest.

As the song says, “I’m a thousand miles from nowhere” headed up US-183 headed towards Lampasas, Texas

Today I’m approaching Briggs, Texas on a long straight stretch of US-183.

I continue to make progress in getting back on schedule for a July 4 (or earlier) arrival.

I’ll need to average 2.7 miles per day, every day, to make it on July 4th.

I’m currently averaging 2.47 miles per day due to the weather, which is sure to bite me in February, too.
