Jose Abreu’s struggles continue, but Jake Meyers has done a nice job in center and at the plate.

Last night’s win is overshadowed a bit by the Urquidy injury. This is not the same deep rotation as last season.

Bullpen Usage

With 3 games to go until off day, all four high-leverage arms were needed last night. Couple that with the Urquidy injury which means perhaps a Blanco start and you have the potential for a short pen.

Today’s Pitching Matchup

Not sure there’s an advantage either way, but the Giants have not been good this season.

I’ve got Garcia at 5.95 and the market is at 6.5. I’ll take under.

Odds

Astros are —188 and that seems like a high price to pay for a 15-13 team that’s not playing great at home. I’ll stay away today.
