Welcome to Astros Projections, a simple site with a straightforward mission.
Beginning tomorrow you’ll find the following on Astros Projections:
Preseason projections for every Astros player (batting/pitching)
In-season projections for all active players updated daily (game days)
Bullpen Usage calendar updated daily and additional statistics/metrics not commonly shared thru traditional media
Daily (162) podcasts (< 15 minutes) on previous days Astros game(s)in a unique format (March launch)
Daily projected standings for all of MLB
Daily Luck Rankings (which teams are luckiest/unluckiest) beginning May 1.
Occasional DFS picks, mainly on K props
Once the season begins, the goal is to provide information on a daily basis, when possible.
Daily is a goal, not a promise.
The player projections, projected standings, luck rankings and DFS picks are all the results of proprietary algorithms.
The player projections and projected standings are designed to mirror actual player stats and standings as the season plays out and should eventually match or come very close to actual numbers.
This is because as the season continues my projections will weigh actual performance more and more in the calculations.
Below is a sample projection for a batter.

Beginning tomorrow I’ll share the preseason projections for Astros position players.
