It'd be a shame if the story of the season boiled down to "gee, we just couldn't win at home," when there are so many more easily-explainable reasons or excuses that can (usually) be used! Short of the city building a new stadium before next season, that's a hard stat for coaches/mgmt to focus improvement around.
As for Tuck and Pena, I feel sorry for them, 'cause these two offensive cogs are obviously crushed that they've not been able to contribute to their potential in this series. Let's hope we take it AL (I love your wordplay, there, above!) tonight, thus rendering all my above gloriously moot.
I'm just cynical enough to think yes, you're right, and that tomorrow would be that "some point" they'd break out of it, if the calendar cooperated! If you switch the sports from golf to baseball, Charles Schulz, as he so often did, says it best (or, at least, funniest) about our urgency:

I'm torn between they have to break out of it at some point and we're doomed. Jr. is on the side of doomed.
